Trachtenburg's New Album

Well that Birchmere was a pretty cool venue. I mean that literally. It was cool. Freezing actually.

So it turns out that little Rachel (of the Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Player) was sick. It was just Jason on stage. Tina wasn't there even to run the projector. Some dude was doing it and he didn't do a very good job. Jason kept having to pause in the middle of the song to tell the guy to go back. He was flying through the slides too fast.

Jason played Nellie's piano and his acoustic guitar. Then Nellie came out at played for 90 minutes or so. She keep introducing songs as "This is when Jennifer Aniston is..." and Jaime and I didn't really know what the heck she was talking about. She said something about "This is another song that was written and rejected for a Jennifer Aniston movie" but she didn't give any other info about it. She later mentioned Mark Ruffalo so maybe she meant this movie.

Other than that, it was the same basic Nellie thing, her and a piano. She seemed a little bored by her old songs. She's been singing some of those since early-early 2003 so I can't really blame her. Fun time, but maybe it wasn't really worth a three hour drive. I got back super late and yadda, yadda, yadda, I'm really tired today. I hope she comes by a little closer home next time.

Jason Trachtenburg says their next album will be named after their song "Middle America."
